Abstracting and formalising the design co-evolution model

چکیده
Abstract Co-evolution accounts have generally been used to describe how problems and solutions both change during the design process. More generally, can be considered as analytic categories, where is seen occur within categories or across categories. There are more of interest than just solutions, for example, participants in a process (such members team different teams) defined by ontologies function-behaviour-structure concept-knowledge). In this paper, we consider co-evolution (not solutions), focussing on changes category originate either from inside outside that category. We then illustrate approach applying it data single session using three systems categorisation (problems designers function, behaviour structure). This allows us represent reciprocal influence between these while common notation graphing quantitative data. Our demonstrates research traditions currently distinct each other co-evolution, collaboration function-behaviour-structure) connected approach.

FORMALISING DESIGN EXPLORATION AS CO-EVOLUTION: A Combined Gene Approach
This paper introduces a model for design exploration based on notions of evolution and demonstrates computational co-evolution using a modified genetic algorithm (GA). Evolution is extended to consider co-evolution where two systems evolve in response to each other. Co-evolution in design exploration supports the change, over time, of the design solution and the design requirements. The basic G...
متن کاملCo-evolution as a Computational and Cognitive Model of Design
Co-evolutionary design has been developed as a computational model that assumes two parallel search spaces: the problem space and the solution space. The design process iteratively searches each space using the other space as the basis for a fitness function when evaluating the alternatives. Co-evolutionary design can also be developed as a cognitive model of design by characterizing the way in...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

15 صفحه اولFormalising Service-Oriented Design
Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) is an emerging paradigm for developing software systems that employ services. Presently there is already much research effort in the areas of service discovery and orchestration, business process modelling, and the semantic web. While these are all important aspects for moving towards the pervasive adoption of SOC, most existing work assumes the existence of bla...
